Classes

A note to past students who have visited Cains Cottage at The Gap, We have moved to the Hartley Williams building at      

32 Kremzow Road, Brendale and the studio is located on the mezzanine level within the warehouse overlooking all the gorgeous art glass!!

​

The Cains Cottage studio is equipped with an extensive range of glass, materials and equipment including a kiln,

allowing students to complete projects in a range of areas:

• LEADLIGHT

• COPPERFOIL

• MOSAIC

• SLUMPING

• FUSING

 

 

 

 

All classes cater for beginner through to the advanced, with individual attention for each student.

It could be that students are working on different projects, so you might choose to work on a leadlight window, with the student next to you completing a copperfoil lamp.

 

Students choose their own project and work at their own pace.

 

Class sizes are kept small (usually 6-8 students) so that you receive maximum attention.  Classes are very social and

students can learn in a friendly, non-judgemental atmosphere.

 

CLASS TIMES:

Every TUESDAY evening 6.00pm - 8.30pm Cost is $42 per class and $21 for a missed class* if you want to hold your spot

if you are away.

​

Every WEDNESDAY morning 9.30am - 12.00pm Cost is $42 per class and $21 for a missed class* if you want to hold

your spot if you are away.

​

Every WEDNESDAY afternoon....... Not currently running, I'm looking for expressions of interest to start running them. 

If you are interested please call and let me know.  The proposed time at this stage is 1pm till 3.30pm with the same cost

as above.

Every THURSDAY morning 10.30am - 1.00pm Cost is $42 per class and $21 for a missed class* if you want to hold your

spot if you are away.

* The term 'Missed class' means if you are unable to make the class due to being on holidays, sickness including Covid,

or busy with other commitments. 

 

Be aware that there is no set class term, you can come for a month or as many years as you'd like to.  If you have any

concerns please chat with me about them. 

​

The studio closes over the Christmas/New Year period for 4 to 5 weeks.  

​

Full day SATURDAY classes (9.00am - 4.00pm) are generally run most Saturdays (usually one per month off) and the

new dates for 2023/2024 are -

Cost is $115 for the day. Plus any materials you require.

 

#### Cancellation policy is 3 days notice prior to class or full fee is charged. A reminder text is sent out a week before

the class commences to remind you to cancel if necessary.

Mini classes in Fusing  are now offered suitable for parties or special occasions. These are totally different than the

ongoing regular classes above.
